FAQ
Q: Why choose cremation?
Cremation is a compassionate, practical, and affordable way to honour a beloved pet, offering flexible options such as keeping the ashes close or taking them with you if you relocate. It provides a dignified alternative to burial, avoiding logistical and environmental concerns.
In 2023, 95% of pet owners chose cremation, with burial accounting for just 5%, reflecting its growing popularity.
Pet cremation also complies with local laws and council guidelines, which often restrict or regulate burials.
For almost 30 years, Woodland has been trusted by veterinarians and pet owners for our respectful approach. Our caring team is here to guide you through the process, ensuring a thoughtful way to say goodbye, whether you keep the ashes, scatter them, or entrust us to care for them.
Q. What types of pets can be cremated?
Woodland offer cremation services for pets and farm animals of all sizes, including cats, dogs, rabbits, birds, reptiles, and other animals. If you have a larger or exotic pet, please contact us for specific accommodations.
Q: What is the process of booking a pet cremation?
There are two ways this can be done:
- Through Your Vet: Take your pet to your veterinarian and they can arrange a booking with Woodland. We will take care of both pickup and drop-off from the vet clinic. You will be given a PawAssure ID from your vet, which you can use to visit our website and choose keepsakes for your pet’s ashes.
- Book directly with us: If you are located in the Mid North Coast of NSW, you can Make a Booking [Click here] and select keepsakes [Click here] directly. We will manage pickup and drop-off directly from your home. If you are outside this region or not sure, please contact us first to confirm whether we can provide service to your location.
